Wow. This is me with the guy I like at work. (I've been trying to convince myself out of it the entire time, for different reasons, and only finally admitted to my mom, and a few of my other coworkers.)

But yeah, love, even when its more lust than love, or even just an obsession, is complicated. Maybe even more so when its unknown whether the other person likes us. And i have actually had to let some guys know before that I wasn't in to them. (and one guy i was kinda in a relationship with for awhile but we never actually met in person.) and I've always tried very hard not to hurt them. Cuz ultimately, i think that any guy who has the guts to say it, deserves the reward of kindness. Now if he turns out and gets angry at me, thats another story.

i adored this story! im not a guy (obviously) but these lessons are super great for all genders and the advice is legit some of the best i've heard. having crushes and getting the guts to admit them stresses me out more than just about anything else, so it was super encouraging to read this!! sending prayers!! 💜

Yeah, I can safely say you had more courage at 12 than some 20 year olds I know. It takes balls to find the right person. The right woman is not going to start the relationship, the man has too.

love this man, thank you for being so honest about it. i agree confessing isn’t as hard as it looks and it makes you more of a man to be able to tell the truth without fear.
