Thought I'd Try Out This Survey Thing

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anybody do a reader survey. Come on guys, you know me - that’s reason enough for me to do it!

If you’re like dude I wanna do that too, here’s how I did it:

1. Dashboard > Stats > Surveys

2. New Survey (or edit the old one)

3. Make the survey (it’s not complicated)

4. A couple tips:

   1. If you’re doing multiple choice but then change it (like from Single to Multiple Answer), it doesn’t save the options

   2. You can’t click and drag multiple choice options - you have to change them manually.

   3. Don’t forget to uncheck those Required boxes

5. When you’re done, you could hit Share, but that only emails it to your subscribers or copies an ugly URL for you. Instead, you could do what I’m doing and make your own post about it. It’ll show up in your subscribers’ inboxes anyway.

6. You insert survey links by going to Button > More > Link To A Survey. This is helpful for when you wanna do mini surveys in posts.

7. I was first introduced to surveys when doing my welcome email for new subscribers. New reader surveys are always fun, so here’s how to make your own:

   1. Make your own

   2. Dashboard > Settings > Emails > Welcome Emails

   3. I know it looks like there are 2 welcome emails but they’re actually synced, I think.
